Hey Swimming Community,

I’ve been dreaming of this for a long time—today feels like the moment that dream comes alive.

I'm DYKQ, founder and CEO of SwimInsights.

I grew up sprinting through lap after lap, chasing every split on the stopwatch. Like many swimmers, I was told I had potential. But season after season, my results never seemed to match the hours of effort I was putting in.

After every meet, my coach would give me the same feedback: “We just have to try harder.” So I did. I trained harder, swam longer, and pushed myself further. But deep down, I knew that “harder” wasn’t the full answer. I wanted to understand why I was falling short. Where exactly in my race did things break down? Was it my stroke rate, my underwater, my turns? No one could give me a clear answer — just a number on a stopwatch and a pat on the back.

That experience stuck with me. It made me realize how many swimmers are left in the dark, working harder and harder without knowing what to fix. And years later, as a coach, I saw the same cycle play out with the swimmers I trained. They gave their all, but without data to guide them, progress often felt like guesswork.

That’s why I built SwimInsights.

Because no swimmer should feel like their story ends with “just try harder.” Every race has a story hidden beneath the surface — and with the right tools, we can finally bring that story to light.

But what if the stopwatch wasn’t the finish line? What if every race could tell the full story—not just how fast you went, but how and why?

Why SwimInsights Exists

SwimInsights was born from a simple belief: every swimmer deserves clarity, every parent deserves peace of mind, and every coach deserves the tools to truly impact performance.

It started when I saw what tools elite swimmers had access to — velocity charts, distance per stroke breakdowns, underwater tracking. These metrics were game-changing, but even at the highest level, they were scarce. Only a handful of athletes could tap into them because the resources were expensive, time-consuming, and spread far too thin.

If the best in the world were struggling to get consistent, data-driven feedback, what chance did the rest of us have? Young swimmers with dreams, parents who wanted clarity, coaches trying to guide dozens of athletes — all of us were left relying on guesswork and stopwatch numbers.

That’s when the spark ignited.

Together with a small team of coaches, swimmers, and technologists, we set out to build what once felt impossible: an AI-powered video analysis platform that takes any race video — from a world championship final to a weekend club meet — and transforms it into clear, digestible insights.

We built it so that every swimmer, not just the elite, could access the kind of feedback that actually changes performance. A tool that works instantly, without needing a team of analysts behind it. One that breaks down your race so thoroughly that even before your body feels fatigue, your mind already knows why and where to improve.

Upload. Analyze. Understand. Improve. Four simple steps, but for the first time, they put every swimmer on equal footing with the best in the world.

And that’s what SwimInsights is about: taking what was once reserved for a privileged few and placing it in the hands of every swimmer, everywhere.
